HEX CAP SCREWS

Wholesale Cap Screws

Hex Cap Screws are a more-finished version of Hex Bolts. Hex Head Cap Screw is generally threaded into the assembly material and torqued by the head. Both parts are chamfered or rounded at the top of the head, but underneath the head, the Hexagon Cap Screw differs in having both a flat-washer face on its bearing surface and a more pronounced fillet.

Our screws are packaged in bulk and priced at wholesale. Parts are manufactured/tested to ISO, ANSI, ASTM or DIN standards and stocked as inch or metric sizes.

Hex Cap Screw FAQ

Hex cap Screw vs hex Bolt: What are the Differences

Hex Cap Screws are a more-finished version of Hex Bolts. Where a Hex Bolt is generally passed through a pre-drilled hole and secured/torqued by a nut, a Hex Cap Screw is generally threaded into the assembly material and torqued by the head. Both parts are chamfered or rounded at the top of the head, but underneath the head, the Hex Cap Screw differs in having both a flat-washer face on its bearing surface and a more pronounced fillet.

Often, a Hex Cap Screw can be used where a Hex Bolt is called for, but not vice-versa.

Will Hex Screws Rust?

Yes, hex cap screws, like all steel fasteners, are susceptible to rust. The type of hex cap screw and the environment of its application are important factors. Consider the amount of corrosive factors in the application’s environment before selecting the material, material grade, and finish of the hex cap screw.
